Female Support WorkerBlackpoolFlexible shiftsTemporary on-goingAbout the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Female Live-In Support Worker to provide 1:1 support for a young man with complex needs living in Blackpool.This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life by promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life within a home environment.Please note: Due to the personal care requirements of this role, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be female in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.About the IndividualYou will be supporting a 24 year old man with:Severe learning disabilitiesEpilepsyPEG feeding requirementsComplex health and personal care needsHe requires consistent, person-centred support delivered with patience, understanding, and professionalism.Key ResponsibilitiesProviding 24-hour live-in care and supportSupporting with all aspects of personal careAdministering and managing medicationManaging and monitoring epilepsy, including seizure response protocolsSupporting and maintaining PEG feedingAssisting with mobility and daily living activitiesEncouraging engagement in activities and promoting independenceMaintaining accurate care records and reporting concerns appropriatelyWorking collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionalsEssential RequirementsPrevious experience supporting individuals with complex needsExperience with epilepsy managementPEG feeding experience (or willingness to undergo specialist training)A calm, confident, and compassionate approachAbility to work independently and follow care plans accuratelyGood communication and record-keeping skillsFlexibility and reliabilityWhat We OfferCompetitive payOngoing training and professional developmentA supportive and friendly working environmentThe opportunity to make a genuine difference in someone's lifeRegular supervision and supportJBRP1_UKTJ
