Job Title: Field Service / Workshop EngineerLocation: HullSalary: £35,000 to £39,000Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be working with a progressive and expanding engineering business based in Hull to recruit a Field Service / Workshop Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company investing in innovation, continuous improvement and long term development of its people.The successful Field Service / Workshop Engineer will split their time between the workshop and customer sites, assembling, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems. You will be supported by experienced specialists while gaining exposure to varied and technically interesting projects in a collaborative and forward thinking environment.The Opportunity:As a Field Service / Workshop Engineer you will play a key role inBuilding prototype and early production machines while improving assembly processes and design efficiencyDiagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using drawings and technical documentationTravelling to customer sites across Yorkshire and occasionally further afield to carry out servicing and repairsCommunicating professionally with operators and managers, acting as a trusted ambassador for the businessYour work will directly contribute to product quality, customer satisfaction and ongoing engineering improvements.About You:We are looking for someone who can bring:A clean UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel to different customer sitesIdeally a multi-skilled approach and have both electrical and mechanical fault finding skillsA general understanding of how to use a multi meter and interpret readings confidentlyBasic experience using mechanical hand tools and working on engineered systemsGood knowledge of common electrical components such as fuses, relays, switches, diodes, motors and solenoidsAn understanding of hydraulic principles including pumps, valves and cylindersA strong respect for health and safety, good time management skills and genuine pride in workmanshipYou will also demonstrate a keen interest in engineering, a proactive mindset and the confidence to represent the business professionally in the field.The Benefits and Package:In return, you will enjoy:Salary of £35,000 to £39,00040 hours per week, Monday to FridayGood work life balance with no weekend requirementOpportunities for technical development and progressionA supportive and friendly working culture within a growing engineering businessCommitment to wellbeing, safe working practices and continuous improvementHow to Apply:This exciting Field Service / Workshop Engineer opportunity is being managed by Consortium Professional Recruitment, a trusted recruitment partner.
