We are seeking enthusiastic, resilient and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASC), communication differences, SEMH, learning disabilities, sensory processing needs and developmental delay. This specialist school environment is warm, structured and therapeutic, with a strong emphasis on communication, independence, emotional regulation, life skills and personalised learning . Every day is different, and every success—big or small—is celebrated. What You’ll Be Doing Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis , following individual learning plans. Using strategies such as visual supports, sensory regulation tools, communication aids (PECS/ AAC) and consistent routines. Working collaboratively with Teachers, Therapists, SENCOs, Behaviour Specialists, and Family Support Teams . Providing emotional reassurance, promoting wellbeing, and helping pupils develop independence. Assisting with daily routines, engagement in the classroom, outdoor learning, and community-based activities. Creating a safe, positive and structured environment where every child can thrive.
