OverviewPlease double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.Lead Engineer The London Independent Hospital, 37.5 Hours & PermanentSalary: Up to 49,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)The London Independent Hospital in Stepney Green is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.We have an opportunity for a Lead Engineer to join their team of staff in the Operations department.This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.ResponsibilitiesEnsure the safe and effective completion of all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance tasks in line with Circle Health Group Standard Operating Procedures.Manage the engineering response to building and equipment faults, ensuring timely and safe resolution with minimal disruption to hospital services.Oversee the delivery of EBME maintenance routines to ensure all medical equipment is serviced and safe for use.Team Leadership and SupervisionProvide day-to-day leadership and line management of engineering operatives within your hospital.Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure training and competency standards are maintained.Promote a positive working culture that supports professional development, safety, and service excellenceQualificationsCity & Guilds Part 3, HNC, or NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.CSCS card or ECS card (if electrically qualified) at the appropriate level.Proven experience in engineering maintenance, ideally within a hospital or similar critical services environment.Experience in team leadership, task allocation, and performance management.Comprehensive understanding of health and safety legislation, including risk management, fire safety, and Legionella prevention.Strong fault-finding, organisational, and communication skills.Time-served apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline.Fire Safety or Fire Risk Assessment training.Experience managing sub-contractors and minor works.Understanding of energy management systems or environmental reporting.Familiarity with Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systemsSalary & BenefitsCircle Health Group is committed to offering competitive starting salaries and access to a wide range of employee benefits, including:25 days holiday per year + bank holidays, increasing to 30 days with servicePrivate Healthcare Scheme for treatment at our hospitals, covering pre-existing medical conditionsFriends & Family Hospital DiscountsFamily Friendly policies, including enhanced Maternity, Paternity & Adoption payNon-contributory life insuranceStaff engagement hub with access to discounts and extensive rewards and voluntary benefitsAccess to resources, tools and services to support your wellbeingEmployee recognition programmesIndustry leading training and development opportunitiesand much more!Circle Health Group is committed to creating a diverse workforce offering inclusive opportunities for all our colleagues.
