You will be given opportunities and a personal supervisor and technical guidance to help your career flourish.Our Feasibility Design team works together to help clients deliver some of the highest profile transport and development projects in the UK and overseas. This includes supporting clients to deliver multimodal highway schemes for projects ranging from liveable neighbourhoods, Wembley Stadium event cap mitigation, Canary Wharf development and active travel and bus corridors across London and Manchester.The models you produce will feed into the development of sustainable, multimodal highways solutions and an awareness of such design considerations would also be an advantage. You will support a range of projects such as bus priority and cycle improvement schemes from feasibility to detailed design stages. You will also support the team by providing analysis relating to operation of mixeduse developments on aspects such as pedestrian comfort levels, servicing capacity and traffic management requirements.RequirementsExperience/skills required:Strong level of experience with LinSig and Vissim (or other microsimulation software)Experience of TfL's Model Audit Process would be beneficialLead the analysis of multimodal modelling assessments with support from the wider design teamWorking knowledge of traffic modelling standards and guidanceManage subconsultants and support staff on a project basis as requiredDeliver key tasks on a range of projectsPrepare and present reports, proposals, briefing notes and design reportsManage project budgets exercising effective financial and budgetary controlTake part in training to develop both technical and consultancy skillsTo be successful in the role, you willBe comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and provide positive contributions in resolving complex design problemsTake responsibility for key tasks and workstreamsDemonstrate strong analytical skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skillsHold relevant academic qualifications or professional experienceBenefitsWe believe in empowering our people and giving them the opportunities to shine.
