Head of Payroll and PensionsThe following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.Cedar Greater London, England, United KingdomSalary: 80,000 per annum. 2 days per week on site.We are looking for an experienced Head of Payroll and Pensions to lead the payroll service and pension administration for a public sector client.ResponsibilitiesAct as SME on all payroll and pension matters, providing advice and support to senior management and stakeholders.Expertise on regulations and legislation, including the Data Protection Act 2013 and Pensions Act 2004.Lead the strategy for fund actuaries.Develop and manage payroll SLA services and pension administration.Drive process improvements and minimising errors or potential fraud.Lead staff development and training.Ensure overpayment minimisation and recovery action where unavoidable.Maintain positive relationships with outsourced service providers.Provide timely information under legislation to all employers in the fund.Attend Pension Fund Officer forums and represent the Pension Board and Investment Committee.Authorised signatory for emergency, manual and electronic payments for the councils bank.QualificationsRelevant qualification in payroll such as MCIPP or extensive experience in this field.Experience managing teams with strong motivational skills.Knowledge of public sector governance, ideally in local government.Experience using payroll systems such as Oracle Payroll.To apply, please contact our recruitment team. xjdpvnf Referrals are encouraged and may receive a bonus.
