The role involves working with a variety of CNC machines and control systems, problem-solving machining challenges, and contributing to continuous improvement within the machining function.Set, operate and program CNC machines to produce precision machined components in line with engineering drawings and specificationsInterpret technical drawings, CAD models, and work instructions with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailManufacture complex components using 3-axis machining techniquesSelect appropriate tooling, feeds, and speeds to achieve optimal machining performance and finishConduct in-process inspection and measurement to ensure quality standards and tolerances are metIdentify and resolve machining issues through effective problem solving and process adjustmentMaintain machines, tooling, and work areas to a high standard, supporting TPM and preventative maintenance activitiesWork collaboratively with engineering, design, and production teams to improve manufacturability and efficiencyAdhere to company Health & Safety policies, quality procedures, and housekeeping standardsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including cycle time reduction, waste minimisation, and process optimisationCNC Machinist Person Specification;Minimum of 5 years experience programming and operating CNC milling and turning machines with multiple control systemsMust have experience in Fanuc, Proto Trak, Siemens and Accurite control panelsAbility to work independently on complex components while also contributing effectively within a team environmentStrong problem-solving capability and proactive mindsetGood communication and interpersonal skills supporting collaborative workingHigh level of organisation, time management, and reliabilityFlexibility and adaptability to evolving business and industry requirementsCommitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvementThis position wont be around for long so if this sounds like something youd be interested in, we would love to hear from you please send your CV today.TPBN1_UKTJ
