Job Title: Warehouse Controller Ref: 26-005 Department: Supply Chain / Operations Reports To: Operations Director Location: Omagh Co Tyrone Job Summary The Warehouse Controller is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations. This includes managing inventory accuracy, raw materials, finished goods, dispatch operations, and ensuring efficient storage and movement of materials to support production. The role ensures compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards while optimizing warehouse performance and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials, and finished goods. Conduct regular cycle counts and stock audits. Reconcile inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking. Ensure proper FIFO/FEFO implementation where applicable. Warehouse Operations Supervise receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch activities. Ensure timely supply of materials to production lines. Coordinate with production supervisor to align material availability. Oversee loading and unloading of goods. Maintain optimal warehouse layout for efficiency and safety. Systems & Documentation Update and maintain SAGE stock control systems Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and performance reports. Ensure accurate documentation for inbound and outbound shipments. Maintain proper recordkeeping for audits and compliance. Team Supervision Lead and supervise warehouse staff. Allocate tasks and monitor team performance. Provide training on safety, SOPs, and inventory procedures. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain clean and organized warehouse conditions. Conduct safety inspections and enforce safe working practices. Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials (if applicable). Cost & Performance Control Monitor warehouse KPIs (inventory accuracy,) Identify process improvement opportunities. Control warehouse-related costs and minimize waste. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. 37 years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of inventory control principles. Experience with Stock control Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is an advantage. Forklift certification (preferred).
