The Director of Payer Engagement, Capabilities and Innovation is a leadership role within Ipsen and an integral member of the Global Market Access and Pricing Leadership Team. This role is primarily accountable for guiding and enabling the local affiliates to develop and execute payer engagement strategies, build influence and strategic partnerships to differentiate and maximize the potential of IPSENs priority therapies across all areas of the life cycle, leading the building of industry bestinclass capabilities in market access as well as leading the overall innovation within the function. Main Responsibilities Payer Engagement Work with crossfunctional partners to create global payer engagement platforms that elevate the companys interaction and influence with payers through focused support to local affiliates for flawless execution. Serve as the primary contact and the face for Ipsens payer engagement strategy. Manage complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders identifying synergistic opportunities to collaborate to address unmet needs. Act as an innovative thought partner to GVA team to continue to innovate in strategies and approach to access especially in the digital/AI space. Provide strategic counsel and response plans to the business on internal and external factors that may affect business reputation through ongoing environmental awareness. Build and nurture longterm relationships with key payer stakeholders / influencers that enhance the reception of IPSEN as a valued partner and as a leader in innovation. Provide leadership for crossfunctional colleagues by providing global guidance, direction, and oversight to facilitate clear deliverables and strategic engagement. Lead the process of building internal and external relationships to increase the IPSEN perception among payer stakeholders/influencers of our commitment to improve outcomes, our patientcentric approach to disease area strategy development and market access. Market Access Capabilities Build and identify new and emerging market access capabilities including adoption of AI, required to ensure success for future portfolio at local and global level. Deliver industryleading training to global, regional and local market access teams to ensure bestinclass capabilities. Build strong internal and external communications campaign to support the market access function and strategic external objective. People Leadership & Development Develop partner management and change capacities of the Business Planning Manager. Align and energize team around common objectives. Ensure alignment and engagement of stakeholders through soft leadership. Ethics & Compliance Ensure that adequate financial structures and controls are in place. Comply with Company guidelines and country/industry standards on ethics and compliance. Act as a role model displaying the 5 Ipsen Ways of Being. Ensure that all activities are undertaken in accordance with all Ipsen SOPs, policies, directives and relevant national guidelines. Education / Certifications Bachelors degree in clinical, biological, social sciences or economics. Masters degree in relevant field (outcomes research, health services research, epidemiology, health economics, health policy or economics) preferred. Experience Experience within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry (e.g. health economics, epidemiology, research, development, marketing, market research, strategic planning, business development, finance, etc.). Demonstrated project leadership experience in the generation of payer evidence (e.g. Health Economics, RWE, Market Access), pricing/market access or reimbursement experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry. Relevant Drug Development and/or Commercialization experience within the pharmaceutical/medical industry. Proven record in payer, HTA, public health, or health policy experience (including within the pharmaceutical industry, SM or Biologics or both, is valued). Experience working with clinicians, pharmacists and payers on evidencebased customer solutions (e.g. through working with local payers in Europe or commercial customers in the US). Expert in constructing payer value stories and incorporating these into TPPs and clinical development programs. Languages Fluent English language skills required.
