Academics are recruiting for an inspiring special SEMH school in Dover seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant ( LSA ) to join their nurturing and inclusive team. About the School: This specialist SEMH school supports pupils aged 5-16 with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASD and related challenges. High staff-to-pupil support allowing personalised learning and behavioural support. Role Overview: Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support in class and during structured activities. Support pupils with SEMH needs to engage in learning, build self-confidence and manage behaviour positively. Assist with classroom tasks, adapting resources and approaches as needed What were looking for: Empathetic, calm and resilient - able to build rapport quickly with pupils with complex needs. Confident using positive behaviour management rooted in relationship-based practice. A strong communicator with a collaborative mindset.
