The Green Dragon serves locally brewed ales and gin alongside traditional pub food, contemporary accommodation and locally sourced menus all focused on delivering a first-class guest experience.The Green Dragon is now looking to recruit an experienced Sous Chef to join their fast-paced kitchen team.What is needed from you:A minimum of 3 years experience working as a Chef, ideally at Sous Chef or Senior Chef levelExperience managing 100200 covers per day across breakfast, lunch and dinner serviceStrong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation techniques and stock controlRelevant catering qualifications would be advantageousUp-to-date Food Hygiene and Food Safety knowledgeWillingness to support other sites when requiredExcellent communication skills and the ability to work collaborativelyA driving licence would be beneficialDuties include, but are not limited to:Preparing and delivering high-quality traditional pub dishes using locally sourced ingredientsSupporting the Head Chef in the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchenAssisting with menu specials and seasonal changesMaintaining high standards in line with food hygiene and safety regulationsContributing to the maintenance of a 5-star food hygiene ratingEnsuring the kitchen remains clean, organised and compliant at all timesWorking closely with the wider team to deliver an excellent dining experienceSalary: £14 £17 per hour, depending on experience and qualificationsHours: 40 50 hours per week, typically 10-hour shifts.
