We're supporting a well-established specialist civil engineering and reinforced concrete contractor with the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. The business delivers complex groundworks, RC frame and structural packages across technically challenging projects.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven QS looking to take ownership of key packages within a structured and supportive environment.The RoleReporting into a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of your allocated project(s) from procurement through to final account.Key responsibilities include:Subcontract procurement and package managementContract administration (NEC predominantly, with some JCT exposure)Managing valuations, variations and change controlProducing cost reports, forecasts and CVRsSupporting subcontractor negotiations and final accountsWorking closely with operational teams to monitor cost and riskYou will be given genuine responsibility while operating within a strong commercial framework.About YouExperience working as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, groundworks or RC frame environmentsWorking knowledge of NEC contractsStrong commercial awareness and negotiation capabilityConfident managing subcontractor accounts and reportingDegree qualified (Quantity Surveying or similar) preferredIf you're a Quantity Surveyor looking to develop within a specialist civil engineering environment, get in touch for a confidential discussion.Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
