Required to start: May 2026 Title: Exam Invigilator   Salary: B3 (Fixed SCP 7) £13.69 Per Hour  Contract: Casual   Leeds Mathematics School is seeking to recruit inspirational colleagues to the role of Exam Invigilator. This role is of great importance to our work at LMaS. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring a calm environment which will give our students the best possible opportunity to be successful in their exams, and for ensuring that the conduct of each exam takes place within the guidelines set down by JCQ (all training will be provided). Applicants should have: · The ability to co-operate and collaborate with school staff. · Effective communication skills with young people and adults. · Ability to follow written procedures to carry out tasks. · Meticulous attention to details. About us: Leeds Mathematics School (LMaS) is a new, specialist sixth form college for high-attaining mathematicians in the Leeds city and West Yorkshire region. All LMaStudents study Mathematics and Further Mathematics A-Levels. In Year 12 they study two of Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics and Mandarin Chinese, and in Year 13 they continue one or two of these to A level. Our unique, enriched curriculum prepares our students for the next stage of their educational journey. We support them to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes that will enable and empower them to make significant future contributions to this region, to their communities, and to global society. We opened our stunning new school in the heart of Leeds, on The Headrow, in September 2023. Our first-ever set of A level results in August 2025 made us “the top-performing state school in the Yorkshire and Humber region” (The Times) because o 31% of A level grades were A* and 83% were A*, A or B; o 93% of university places are at Russell Group or Guardian Top 30 institutions; o 100% of degree apprenticeship applications to prestigious employers were successful. We have welcomed our third cohort of 110 students in September 2025. 31% are female or female-identifying, and 26% are from the most disadvantaged postcodes in the region (IMD deciles 1 and 2).
