We are seeking a highly skilled and detail focussed Manufacturing Technician to join our Operations Team!In this role, you will help build cutting-edge products used across the communications, defence, and space industries, working in a modern Lean Manufacturing Environment.You will be hands-on in the assembly, inspection, testing, and analysis of precision micro-components within a clean room setting.You will also play an active role in developing manufacturing standards, supporting prototype builds, and contributing to continuous improvement projects that drive quality, efficiency, and innovation.If you thrive in a technical, structured environment and enjoy being part of a team that creates market-leading technology - this role is for you!As our Manufacturing Technician your day-to-day work may include:Precision assembly and inspection of micro-components in a clean room environmentTesting products and subassemblies for quality and functionalityTroubleshooting product, device, or equipment issuesPreparing, assembling, and building product sub-assemblies and final unitsMonitoring and adjusting production processes for optimal output and qualityOperating production equipment in line with standard work proceduresSupporting Engineers in prototype builds, new product trials, and process developmentCalibrating or adjusting equipment using precision tools (calipers, micrometres, gauges)Inspecting finished goods to meet internal and customer specificationsMaintaining accurate production logs, batch records, and tracking documentationManaging inventory and preparing materials for buildsPackaging finished goods and coordinating with production planning to meet delivery schedulesCreating and developing Standard Work Instructions, productivity reports, batch documentation, and moreInstalling new equipment and verifying safety system functionalityTo be successful in this role, you will have:Exceptional attention to detail and strong awareness of Health & SafetyProven practical, hands-on technical skillsAbility to understand, follow, and implement manufacturing processesConfidence interpreting engineering information and working across multiple disciplinesAbility to follow - and create - work instructionsExperience working efficiently with minimal supervisionA proactive team-first approach with the ability to influence and contribute improvementsFamiliarity with Microsoft Excel or MES systems for data entry and trackingStrong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to operational challengesWhy HUBER+SUHNER PolatisWork with cutting-edge technology in a precision engineering environmentPlay a meaningful role in developing products for mission-critical industriesBe part of a collaborative team driving quality excellence and continuous improvementOpportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to technical development projectsOur aim is to be the employer of choice and as such you can be assured of a market leading remuneration package that matches your skills and experience.If you're a skilled, motivated, and detail-oriented manufacturing professional looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today and help us create world-class products used across the defence and space industries.TPBN1_UKTJ
