Driver's Mate Peterborough People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Driver's Mate to join our well-established client based in Peterborough . Shifts Working five days out of seven Start times from 07:00 Rates of Pay Basic: 12.58 per hour Overtime after eight hours: 18.86 per hour Saturday: 18.86 per hour Sunday: 25.15 per hour Bank Holiday: 25.15 per hour Benefits As a Driver's Mate , you will receive: Free parking Ongoing work Opportunity for a permanent position On-site canteen Weekly pay Immediate starts available Day-to-Day Duties As a Driver's Mate , your duties will include (but are not limited to): Unloading building materials and home interior improvement products (excluding bathrooms and kitchens) Completing customer deliveries in a timely manner while adhering to health and safety guidelines Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers Supporting the driver during deliveries and collections Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Manager or Supervisor Providing excellent customer service Essential Skills To be successful in this role, you must have: Previous experience working as a Driver's Mate The ability to work effectively as part of a team A good level of spoken and written English Excellent punctuality and timekeeping skills A good level of physical fitness as heavy lifting is involved Completion of an initial online assessment Desirable Experience A clean UK driving licence would be advantageous but is not essential Training Provided Four-hour online training must be completed before attending assessment Practical training will be completed on-site On-the-job training provided following a successful assessment Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more.
