Job description: Job Title: Senior Administrator - Reconciliations Department: Operations Location: Liverpool Contract Type: Permanent Reporting to: Jan Johnson The Team The stock reconciliation team are responsible for ensuring all securities are reconciled accurately in line with FCA regulations, and any differences identified are escalated with the relevant department and followed up until resolved. The team are also responsible for the application and maintenance of investment restrictions and order entry set-up for new and existing clients to ensure trades are settled in the correct custodian. The Role Delivery of service excellence Protection of client assets Compliant with regulatory requirements and company policies Positive contribution to your teams new and existing initiatives Outcomes of the Role Accountable for dealing with more complex administrative requests and activities within your team Assist in the production of appropriate management information, including information relating to key performance indicators, key risk indicators aligned to your responsibilities. Ensure these are produced on time and are appropriate for relevant committee audiences thereafter Ensure that you are actively participating in Continuous Improvement principals and the 4+1 habits Support the continuous improvement across the team leading to enhancements in efficiency and clients and customer experience (CX/UX) Be responsible for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of new and existing IT systems Be responsible for the initial and ongoing training of team members Be responsible for ensuring that the teams procedures are kept up to date and are an accurate reflection of working practises and that any CASS issues are escalated and resolved as and when necessary Any other duties as required Knowledge, Skills and Experience High level of accuracy and concentration with the ability to grasp new tasks quickly.Strong administration and organisational skills including the ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Meticulous attention to detail.Adaptable, flexible and able to accept responsibility for given tasks.Effective problem solver, generating practical solutions to often complex issues.A proactive, self-motivated and assertive team player who requires minimum supervision.Ability to develop, build and maintain, constructive and open relationships with internal stakeholders, supporting a no-blame culture.Proactive stance towards continual professional development.Strong written and verbal communication skillsGood working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAwareness of FCA Client Assets (CASS) regulations Professional experience and qualifications (where necessary) Ideally a financial services background, with a minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role.
