Data & Statistical Modelling Engineer Oxfordshire Competitive + Good Benefits Our client is a fast-growing, venture-backed advanced manufacturing company, redefining how high-performance metal components are designed and produced. By combining machine learning, physics-based modelling, and metal 3D printing, the team is pushing the boundaries of what engineered materials can achieve. They are now seeking a sharp, intellectually curious engineer to help scale next-generation manufacturing systems. The Role Laser Powder Bed Fusion machines generate vast streams of data. The successful candidate will turn that data into insight and predictive power. Responsibilities include: Building statistical and machine learning models to predict machine and component performance Identifying key drivers of variation in advanced manufacturing processes Designing robust data pipelines that transform raw machine signals into reliable, decision-ready outputs Collaborating with materials scientists, process engineers, and software developers to improve production reliability and scalability This is not dashboard-building. It is modelling physical systems and improving how they behave in the real world. The Ideal Candidate Background in mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science, or a related STEM discipline Strong coding skills (Python preferred) Excited by complex systems, uncertainty, and real-world data Motivated by seeing models influence hardware and production outcomes Experience in probabilistic modelling, time-series analysis, or additive manufacturing is advantageous. This is an opportunity for ambitious early-career intellectuals who want their work to shape the future of advanced manufacturing. TPBN1_UKTJ
