Quality Assurance Specialist (SALARY SCALE 33,000-37,000) Full time, 37.5 hours a week Remote role with opportunity to work hybrid in Andover, Hampshire Are you an experienced quality assurance specialist who would love to use your skills to help us Beat Macular Disease? Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, with around 300 people diagnosed every day. The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world-class research, and the best advice and support. To support people affected by macular disease now, the Macular Society provides a range of support, information and services. Our research programme is focused on finding new treatments and a cure to beat macular disease forever. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, reliable and accessible digital experiences across the charitys website, donation journeys, email campaigns, chatbot and CRM-integrated systems. The role focuses on structured manual and regression testing, validating end-to-end user journeys and monitoring live environments to quickly identify and resolve issues. A strong emphasis is placed on accessibility compliance, cross-browser and cross-device testing, and maintaining a seamless, user-friendly experience. The role also plays a key part in email and integration testing, working closely with the database and CRM teams to validate data flows, triggers and system integrations, particularly during major transformation projects. Acting as first-line digital support, you will document features, maintain test scripts, logs and track bugs through to resolution, support technical SEO checks, and report on risks, defects and improvements. Key skills and experience: - Digital quality assurance testing experience - Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) - Experience testing complex user journeys and system integrations - Email testing across clients and devices - Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and tools - Strong documentation, organisation and risk-based prioritisation skills - Clear communication across technical and non-technical teams In return, we provide a great working culture and offer flexible working options, 26 days annual leave, rising to 27 after one years service, the ability to buy or sell annual leave, supportive family policies, and 6% pension contribution.
