Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, with around 300 people diagnosed every day. The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world-class research, and the best advice and support. To support people affected by macular disease now, the Macular Society provides a range of support, information and services. Our research programme is focused on finding new treatments and a cure to beat macular disease forever. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, reliable and accessible digital experiences across the charitys website, donation journeys, email campaigns, chatbot and CRM-integrated systems. The role focuses on structured manual and regression testing, validating end-to-end user journeys and monitoring live environments to quickly identify and resolve issues. A strong emphasis is placed on accessibility compliance, cross-browser and cross-device testing, and maintaining a seamless, user-friendly experience. The role also plays a key part in email and integration testing, working closely with the database and CRM teams to validate data flows, triggers and system integrations, particularly during major transformation projects. Acting as first-line digital support, you will document features, maintain test scripts, logs and track bugs through to resolution, support technical SEO checks, and report on risks, defects and improvements.
