This role is ideal for a nurse with theatre or surgical experience who is passionate about delivering safe, effective, and compassionate patient care. Key Responsibilities Conduct pre-operative assessments , including reviewing medical history and preparing patients for surgery. Assist during surgical procedures as a scrub nurse , maintaining strict sterile technique. Monitor patients during post-operative recovery , including vital signs and medication administration. Collaborate with senior clinical staff and multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans. Participate in training and educational programmes to maintain clinical standards. Ensure high standards of patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care . Main Duties Prepare the operating theatre with necessary instruments and surgical supplies using aseptic techniques. Monitor patient safety during procedures and maintain accurate clinical documentation. Provide post-operative education and discharge guidance to patients and families. Adhere to hospital policies, governance procedures, and health & safety regulations . Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care at all stages of the surgical pathway. Essential Requirements Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a recognised nursing qualification. Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or eligibility to register. Experience working within theatre, surgical, or day surgery environments . Strong understanding of infection prevention, patient safety, and perioperative care .
