Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons when covering teacher absence. Support pupils with SEMH needs through targeted interventions and personalised strategies. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to promote emotional resilience. Use effective behaviour-management and de-escalation strategies. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams. Track and monitor progress, contributing to personalised plans and EHCP outcomes. Uphold safeguarding, wellbeing, and a positive school ethos at all times. Help maintain a calm, structured, and therapeutic learning environment. Requirements Essential: Proven SEMH experience in an educational, therapeutic, or specialist setting. Essential: Confident and capable of covering whole classes independently. HLTA qualification preferred or equivalent experience at that level. Excellent communication, resilience, and behaviour-support skills. Commitment to supporting vulnerable learners and helping them flourish. Ability to work full-time in a Primary SEMH School in Northampton. Why This School?
