One of the North's leading firms of chartered accountants and business advisors, offering an extensive range of corporate, personal and specialist tax services and employing c.1,000 staff, is keen to recruit new Tax Seniors or Assistant Managers to provide tailored tax advisory and compliance services in one of a range of specialisms Corporate Tax, Private Client Tax, Transaction Tax, Innovation Tax and VAT & Duty for large corporate, SME, OMB and private individual clients, helping them navigate the increasingly complex world of tax.Its growing Newcastle office is looking for talented and friendly people to deliver value and manage risk in tax compliance, tax optimisation and strategic planning, where you'll be at the heart of assisting clients in realising their ambitions. This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your technical and client management skills, while working as part of an award-winning, collaborative, supportive and forward-thinking team.Your Key Responsibilities As Tax Senior/Assistant Manager Will IncludeSupporting the delivery of tax advice on a broad range of issues impacting large corporates, SMEs, OMBs and individuals, according to your chosen specialismContributing to a variety of assignments, including research, analysis and preparation of findingsManaging a portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for the delivery of high-quality tax compliance services and assisting with the review of work prepared by junior team membersBuilding strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, contributing to the delivery of a seamless, high-quality client experienceAssisting senior colleagues in identifying opportunities for additional tax advisory work and helping to prepare relevant proposals or materialsKeeping up to date with changes in UK and international tax legislation and contributing to internal knowledge sharingSupporting the development of junior team members through on-the-job coaching and knowledge sharingAs Tax Senior/Assistant Manager You'll NeedStrong Tax Senior experience in the relevant field of tax gained in practice or industry, ideally including exposure to larger corporates or complex clientsProfessionally qualified (CA and/or CTA or equivalent) or working towards qualificationStrong technical knowledge and a willingness to continue developing in a supportive environmentProactive, with good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlinesClear communicator who can engage effectively with clients and colleagues at all levelsExperience in mentoring or coaching junior team members is an advantageRewards & BenefitsBasic salary of £35,000 £48,000 and competitive benefits packageFull timePermanentExcellent training, support and career development opportunitiesAttractive city centre office and flexible workingPlease NoteTo secure maximum pay/rewards, you must possess all outlined experience, skills, knowledge and relevant qualifications.High levels of interest mean we will only contact you if your application is shortlisted and this will happen within five working days.Candidates must have the right to work in the UK permanently and without any restrictions there is no visa sponsorship on offer for this role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
