Drone Pilot Opportunity – Utility Asset Inspection (UK WORK RIGHTS NEEDED) 275kV Tower Inspections – Southern England Overview We are seeking experienced drone pilots to support a major utility asset inspection programme covering over 600 structures (275kV towers) across the Southampton, Bath, and Reading areas. This is a single-person operation with full SOPs in place. Location Southampton, Bath and Reading area Equipment DJI M300/M350 or 400 series (rental available) Drone Supply Drone and payload can be supplied under rental agreement Project Start June / July 2026 Project Duration All data captured by end of FY27 Operation Type Single Person Operation (SOPs provided) Working Pattern Monday – Sunday (full weeks available) Scope of WorkManual flight inspection of 275kV utility towers to capture high-quality data Follow standardised Collection Plan and Flight Plan (provided) Focus exclusively on data capture — permissions and access managed by the client Occasional landowner liaison may be requiredWhat We ProvideStandardised Collection Plan and Flight Plan for all structures On-site onboarding and training session with a Senior Pilot (approx. one week) Full SOPs for single-person operation Permissions and site access management Drone and payload supply available (DJI M300/M350, Sony LR1)Key Notes All tower inspections are conducted via manual flight.Accommodation and expenses are not provided separately; all-in day rates or price per tower is preferred.
