Title : Civil Engineer Location : Wigan About The Role Undertaking structural and civil engineering design from concept to detailed design Preparing design calculations, technical reports and construction drawings Designing infrastructure including highways, sewer networks, SuDS and external works Contributing to flood risk assessments, cut & fill volumetrics and ground modelling Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, local authorities and clients Attending site visits and technical meetings Supporting approvals and compliance submissions with relevant authorities About You Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or equivalent 3+ years experience in a UK civil/structural engineering consultancy environment Strong understanding of UK design standards and engineering principles Experience with drainage and highway design processes (Section 38/104 submissions) Proficiency in technical software (AutoCAD, MicroDrainage/PDS or similar) Excellent communication and organisational skills Full UK driving licence Desirable: Working towards, or achieved, professional chartered status (ICE/IStructE) Experience in geotechnical/ground investigation design and reporting Exposure to mixed residential and commercial project types About The Company Established over 30 years ago, They are a highly regarded consulting engineering practice based in Wigan, providing expert civil, structural and geotechnical engineering services across the UK.
