Job DescriptionRead all the information about this opportunity carefully, then use the application button below to send your CV and application.A great opportunity has arisen for a customer service focused service engineer to join a trusted provider of forklift trucks with a variety of clients and products, including lithium, electric and diesel powered trucks.Role Overview:As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of a variety of forklift trucks and material-handling equipment including modern lithium battery forklifts. Working remotely, youll plan your own daily workload and travel to customer sites within approximately 6090 minutes of your home location.This role offers excellent independence, responsibility, and the support of a well-structured technical team.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine servicing, maintenance, and safety inspections on a wide range of forklift trucks (diesel, electric, LPG, and lithium).Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and battery-related faults.Carry out repairs efficiently and professionally while minimising customer downtime.Provide clear and accurate job reporting via the companys digital systems.Maintain company van stock and ensure parts are managed effectively.Deliver excellent customer service, acting as the face of the company.Liaise with the service office for scheduling, technical support, and parts ordering.Adhere to all health & safety practices and manufacturer guidelines.Beneficial Skills / Experience:Previous experience as a forklift engineer, plant engineer, agricultural engineer, automotive technician, or similar mechanical/electrical service role.Strong diagnostic capabilities across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.Experience with lithium battery equipment (training can be provided if partly experienced).Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.Full UK driving licence.Strong communication and customer-facing skills.Good IT literacy for completing service reports on a tablet/device. xjdpvnf Additional Details:Competitive basic salary (DOE)Overtime opportunitiesCompany vehicle (fully equipped service van)Specialist tools & diagnostic equipmentManufacturer and in-house technical training, including lithium system trainingPension scheme25 days holiday plus bank holidaysSupportive, growing company with progression opportunitiesRemote working/work at home options are available for this role.
