This a key, hands on role offering variety, responsibility, and involvement across the full project lifecycle - from initial concept through to final manufacture.This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, problem solving and working closely with both design and production teams to deliver bespoke, high quality components.Location:Oldbury/DudleyShifts: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:00pmSalary: 35,000 40,000 per annum (depending on experience)Benefits include:Competitive salary of 35,000 40,000 DOEMonday to Friday working hoursVaried role with end-to-end project involvementStable position within a growing manufacturing businessCollaborative team environment with real influence on processes and outcomesDay-to-day duties:As a CAD / CAM Designer, your duties will include (but are not limited to):CAD design and production of detailed technical drawings3D modelling using SolidWorksCNC programming using AlphaCAM, including 3D machining strategiesProviding technical support to the sales team, including costings and lead timesSupporting CNC setup, quality checks, and continuous process improvementWorking closely with machine operators and production teams on the factory floorProblem-solving, value engineering, and improving manufacturing efficiencyCollaborating cross-functionally to ensure designs are practical and production-readyEssential skills:To be successful as a CAD / CAM Designer, you will need:Proven experience in CAD design and CNC programmingStrong SolidWorks 3D modelling skillsExperience using AlphaCAM (or similar CAM software)Good understanding of CNC machining processesAbility to work independently and take ownership of projectsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsDesirable experience:Experience with 3D machining strategiesBackground in a bespoke or low-volume manufacturing environmentPrevious involvement in process improvement or value engineeringTraining:Ongoing training and support will be provided to ensure continued development within the role.Contact:If youre ready for your next challenge as a CAD / CAM Designer, apply today or contact the recruitment team to find out more. xjdpvnf People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.
