Job DescriptionAll potential applicants are encouraged to scroll through and read the complete job description before applying.I am currently working with a leading manufacturer of high-spec electronics in Colchester who are looking for a highly competent Test Technician to join their team.In this varied role you will be responsible for carrying out production testing, inspection and evaluations of products, components and assemblies to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards. This role involves identifying and rectifying faults, recording data accurately and supporting the engineering and production teams to maintain product reliability and performance. Specifically:Conducting functional, electrical and performance testsOperating manual and automated test equipmentInspecting products and components to verify complianceIdentifying, diagnosing and reporting product faults or deviationsAssisting in root cause analysis and corrective actionsMaintaining highly accurate test records, logs and reportsEnsuring test data is entered into the Companys systems promptly and accuratelyWorking in accordance with the Companys AS9100 Rev D QMSSetting up and maintaining test equipment and fixturesRequirements:At least HND/HNC Electronic Engineering or equivalentProven experience within an electronics test environmentHands-on experience with test equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, or specialist testing rigsExperience working in a manufacturing or electronics environmentStrong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, test procedures and technical documentationBackground in fault finding down to component levelStrong attention to detail and accuracy in recording test resultsCompetent IT skills, including use of MS office, MRP systems and associated data entry systemsKnowledge xjdpvnf of relevant electrical principlesUnderstanding and working knowledge of quality standards and processes, ISO 9001/AS9100The company are offering:Clean and modern facility and working environmentSmall friendly companyOn site parking and close to railway stationOpportunity for personal development and trainingStability and a very strong pipeline of workMonday to Friday with some flexibility around start and finish timesIf you are interested in this Test Technician role and believe you have the experience my client requires then please forward your CV.
