You will manage a caseload appropriate to your experience and provide robust assessments, support, and supervision to ensure safe, stable, and nurturing placements.This role requires strong knowledge of fostering and kinship assessment processes and the ability to work to high professional and statutory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide a professional and cost-effective social work service within fostering and kinship careAssess, support, and supervise foster carers and kinship carersUndertake viability, kinship, and connected persons assessmentsIdentify safeguarding concerns and take appropriate protective actionComplete clear, evidence-based assessments, reports, and action plansMaintain accurate and up-to-date case recordings and documentationPrepare and submit reports and care plans for panels and court proceedingsAttend and present at fostering panels, reviews, and meetingsAct as duty worker when requiredWork closely with partner agencies, carers, and familiesUse ICT systems to maintain records and performance dataKeep the Team Manager informed of workload and risk issuesProvide cover and undertake duties appropriate to the gradeEssential RequirementsQualified Social Worker (Degree/Diploma in Social Work or equivalent)Registered with the relevant Social Work regulatory bodyMinimum 2 years current fostering experienceDemonstrable experience assessing foster carers and kinship/connected carersStrong knowledge of fostering regulations, standards, and assessment frameworksExperience of safeguarding and risk assessmentHigh standard of report writing and case recordingEffective case and time management skillsStrong partnership and multi-agency working abilityMinimum of 3 years perm experience within a local authorityProfessional ResponsibilitiesParticipate in regular supervision and team meetingsEngage in continuous professional development and trainingFollow Health & Safety and safeguarding proceduresPromote equality, diversity, and anti-discriminatory practiceMaintain confidentiality at all timesContribute positively to team culture and service improvementAdditional InformationEnhanced DBS check requiredFlexible working may be required, including occasional eveningsIf you are ready to take your next locum role and meet the requirements above, apply today! xjdpvnf You can also send me your most recent CV to.ukor contact me directly to learn more on .
