Job DescriptionApply fast, check the full description by scrolling below to find out the full requirements for this role.Position: Shift Electrical EngineerLocation: North Bristol Pay: 50,000 per annum Hours: Dupont Shifts - 4 shift pattern, providing 24/7 coverage as a team Day and nights on 12 hour shifts, 6am-6pm / 6pm-6amThe Shift Electrical Engineer is responsible for the effective and efficient maintenance of all production machinery, service plant equipment, and research and development machinery. This role ensures full compliance with internal and external health and safety standards at all times. The positionKey ResponsibilitiesDiagnose faults, perform equipment repairs, and ensure machinery runs efficientlyCarry out planned maintenance tasks within the required timescalesRecord all work completed, document any follow-up actions, and identify future spare parts requirementsPerform machine repairs to assembly level, including workshop repairs of componentsRead and work from circuit diagrams, using appropriate hand tools, machinery, diagnostic, and testing equipmentIdentify and support continuous improvement initiatives, including designing and manufacturing solutions from concept to installationContribute to energy-saving and sustainability efforts by identifying, reporting, or implementing improvementsInput maintenance activities into the computerised maintenance system and ensure machine drawings remain up to dateMaintain a basic understanding of quality standards and data integrity to protect product qualityAdhere strictly to hygiene and personal protective equipment rules to avoid compromising product integrityQualifications, Skills & ExperienceRelevant engineering qualificationSignificant engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of health and safety regulations and full complianceGood computer literacy, including Microsoft applications (experience with Agility is an advantage)Strong prioritisation and time-management abilitiesAbility to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing prioritiesCapable of working independently as well as part of a teamBenefitsPrivate medical coverageFree on-site parkingSubsidised canteenPension schemeReward and discount platformStaff social eventsAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
