Job DescriptionHave you got what it takes to succeed The following information should be read carefully by all candidates.Senior Support Workers Required for Childrens Home in Basildon Essex SS14Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with emotional and behavioural disabilities ?We are currently recruiting Senior Residential Support Workers to join our dedicated team on the edge of Basildon ( on a bus route)Our new home supports 6 to 18 year olds with EBD and challenging behaviours( Ofsted Regulated)The new team will offer huge support and you will be encouraged to develop and progress.Senior Suppoer Worker Duties include Supporting and managing the staff team to meet the needs of the young person Planning each shift and ensuring resources are allocated appropriately Working with external professionals to deliver positive outcomes Providing supervision and support to staff in line with Quality Standards Supporting the young person to engage in education Ensuring their health needs are met Providing advice, support and guidance Managing complex behaviours and crisis intervention Administering and recording medication Maintaining daily records and administrative work Contributing to the care planning process Liaising with external stakeholders and our multidisciplinary team Attending mandatory training Engaging in team meetings Maintaining the home (laundry, cleaning, shopping, cooking, etc.)Senior Support Worker RequirementsPlease note applicants MUST meet the following requirements;Able to work Full timeA full UK driving license ( preferred )Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)An understanding that this role will require that you undertake Enhanced DBS checksYou need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins with full-time and part-time hours being available.Experience working and supporting 5-18 year old with EBD & challenging behaviourYou will have some experience supporting children or young people with EBD.Seniors MUST have NVQ level 3 Children Residential plus 2 years Support Work experience(Children's)Salary and shifts and more for our Seniors Support Workers14.50 per hour to 15.50 per hour depending on experience and qualificationsplus 50 sleeps shift pattern normally 2 on 4 off but subject to change42 hour weeksFull induction and introductory programmeFully funded training and qualificationsEnhanced pay scales that recognise both qualifications and experienceEnhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check paid for by us28 days annual leave including bank holidaysHourly rate increase for bank holiday working50 per sleep in paymentsWe can offer our Senior Support Workers A rewarding career, whereby you learn and grow with our children.
