Youll be embedded within customer IT teams, taking responsibility for the day-to-day operation, security, and optimisation of VMware vDefend and Avi environments.This role suits someone who enjoys being close to the technology, solving problems, and continually improving systems over time. Youll work alongside SOC, NOC, and platform teams to ensure services are stable, secure, and consistently evolving.What your role as an ANS Senior Consultant will involve:Running and maintaining VMware vDefend services, including distributed firewalling, micro-segmentation, and threat protectionManaging Avi / NSX Advanced Load Balancer platforms in live production environmentsMonitoring security events, alerts, and application trafficTroubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and supporting incident responseDelivering policy changes, upgrades, and patching in line with change processesKeeping operational documentation and runbooks up to dateWorking closely with SOC, NOC, and platform teamsImplementing and fine-tuning Avi WAF policies to protect customer applicationsTo set you up for success, we are looking for the following skills and experienceHands-on experience operating VMware vDefend and Avi ALBStrong troubleshooting skills in virtualised networking and security environmentsExperience working within ITSM processes such as incident, problem, and change managementA good understanding of security monitoring, alerting, and response processesWe Are Ingram MicroIngram Micro is a leading technology company for the global information technology ecosystem.
