Job DescriptionMaking sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.Vehicle Maintenance TechnicianWe are working with an industry leading client on the lookout for an experienced Vehicle Maintenance Technician (HGV Technician) to join one of their sites in Bury St Edmunds. This is a pivotal role that will be part of a great team, helping the business operate and deliver across the whole of the UK.Shift Pattern:Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 6am - 3pmBack Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm - 11:30pmOvertime: Saturday Mornings, 6am 12MiddayOn-Call rota: 1 in 4 weeks (Additional payment for on call)Benefits:5,000 Sign-On BonusA warm welcome to the team and recognition of the valuable skills you bring, paid after successful completion of 3 month settling in period.First-Year OTE of circa 57,871Combine your base salary, expected overtime, annual bonus, and sign-on bonus for a rewarding first-year package.Annual Bonus (2,000)Recognising your ongoing personal and team contribution to their fleet safety and operation.Expected Overtime Earnings (7,000)Regular and realistic additional overtime earnings, paid at 1.5x hourly rate, with potential to be higher than this (dependent on business need).Industry-Leading TrainingFrom industry specific licences to IRTEC, to gaining your HGV license, our client will help support you to grow.This role will provide:Structured training, including in-house programmes such as LPG Basics, Wheel Security, Basic Electrics, and more.Specialist outsourced training such as IRTEC Inspection, ADR (Class 2 Gases), Safe Loading Pass, and the opportunity to gain your Category (Class 1 & 2 ) C + E licenceOngoing opportunities to upskill in tank testing, confined space, product-specific training, and moreMaintaining quality tools is important for safety and performance.
