Job DescriptionRead on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.Fabric Technician Location: Peterborough (PE1) Contract: TemporaryWe are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to join a busy facilities management contract based in Peterborough. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong fabric maintenance and painting & decorating experience, working within a commercial environment.The role: You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive fabric maintenance tasks across the site, ensuring the building is kept to a high standard and remains safe and operational at all times.Key duties include:Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checksCarrying out reactive fabric repairsInspecting and repairing floors, walls, doors, windows and associated fittingsPainting and decorating works across the site as requiredMinor repairs to freestanding and fitted furnitureAssisting engineering staff with general maintenance tasksMaintaining accurate maintenance, health & safety and quality recordsManaging tools, equipment and consumable stockUndertaking additional duties as directed by the Contract Manager or Facilities SupervisorWhat we're looking for:Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator or Fabric TechnicianStrong all-round fabric maintenance skillsetGood knowledge of painting techniques and methodsPlastering experience (advantageous but not essential)Sound understanding of Health & Safety requirementsReliable, proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fabric Technician looking for a stable, short-term contract within a professional facilities' environment.To apply or find out more, please get in touch today. xjdpvnf Hays EA is a trading division of Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited and acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
