Regional Health & Safety Manager - North Central and North Region This role supports our sites across the North Central and North Region helping to deliver our fire, building and health 'safety strategies. You'll work closely with Operations and Estates to make sure our buildings, teams and students stay safe, while keeping us compliant with all relevant legislation. It's a hands-on role with plenty of variety, from supporting site teams day-to-day to leading investigations, preparing for inspections and reporting into senior leadership. Key Responsibilities: Health, Safety & Fire Delivery Support delivery of the annual H&S plan across iQ sites to ensure compliance with fire, building and H&S legislation. Manage the Regional Health & Safety function, including objective setting, performance reviews and day-to-day leadership. Build strong working relationships with Operations and Estates to ensure focused, prioritised activity. Lead the H&S policy review programme, ensuring policies, risk assessments and monitoring regimes are legally compliant and fit for purpose. Provide advice and support on emerging risks, incidents and remedial actions, working closely with relevant teams. Incident & Risk Management Carry out incident investigations and liaise with external parties where required. Ensure sites are prepared for regulatory inspections, coordinating communications and managing follow-up actions. Escalate deviations, concerns and potential liability risks promptly to Site Operations Managers, Regional Managers, central teams and the Head of Health & Safety. Reporting & Leadership Prepare and present safety performance updates to peers and the senior leadership team. Support regional managers with training, risk assessments and audit activity. Maintain your own professional development in fire, building and health 'safety. Carry out other fire, building and H&S duties as required. Skills and Experience: Experience working in or with a large multi-site business. Background in a regulatory environment. Strong knowledge of fire, health 'safety legislation. Experience conducting risk assessments and audits. Confidence delivering health 'safety or fire briefings/training. Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to implement operational policies. Qualifications NEBOSH National General Certificate Fire Risk Assessment qualification (FPA or equivalent) Desirable Membership of IOSH or a fire safety professional body Environmental Health degree, Fire or Health & Safety Diploma, or equivalent qualification Want to know what it's really like to work at iQ?
