Electrical / HVAC Fitter Rolling Stock Crewe 18.82 PAYE / 24.40 Umbrella Ongoing Electrical / HVAC Fitter required for a permanent role based in Crewe, Cheshire within the Rolling Stock (Train) industry. Our client is a global leader in rolling stock manufacturing, service, and maintenance, offering a stable and long-term career for skilled Electrical and Mechanical Fitters. This is an ongoing role with a standard 37-hour week and excellent pay, with overtime opportunities. Key Responsibilities Electrical / HVAC Fitter Overhaul, repair, and engineer rail HVAC units Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Perform electrical builds including crimping and soldering Pipe bending and brazing (desirable) Re-engineering and production of spare parts Carry out mechanical and electrical repair, replacement, and maintenance on rolling stock Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards Candidate Requirements Time-served or apprentice-trained in Electrical/Mechanical disciplines Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical engineering Knowledge of electrical components and HVAC systems Experience in rolling stock, railway depot, or vehicle maintenance preferred Self-motivated with strong initiative and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills F-Gas certification and brazing experience desirable but not essential Hours & Pay Monday Thursday: 8:00am 4:30pm Friday: 8:00am 12:15pm (early finish) Standard 37-hour week Hourly rate: 18.82 PAYE / 24.40 Umbrella Overtime: First 5 hours at flat rate, then time & a half Benefits & Additional Information Work with a global leader in rolling stock engineering Opportunity to work with modern HVAC and electrical systems Long-term, stable employment The role is subject to passing a drugs and alcohol test How to Apply Please submit your CV in Word format highlighting your Electrical / HVAC Fitter experience.
