National Account Manager - Wholesale / OOHSalary: up to £65k + £5k car allowance + 15% bonusLocation: Basingstoke, office-based 2-3 days per weekThe Opportunity Two Recruitment are partnering with this well-established FMCG SME as they enter an exciting new phase of growth and invest in new commercial hires to drive their new strategy forward. They have listings in all the major UK supermarkets plus international retailers, and a big opportunity in Wholesale and OOH, which will massively benefit from the extra focus that this role will be able to give this channel.The RoleReporting to the Sales Director, this National Account Manager role will lead growth in the wholesale and OOH / Foodservice channel, with additional responsibility for B2B customers. You’ll be managing the distributor to get the most out of them and their resources, but also experienced with directly managing key accounts such as Booker, Bestway, Bidfood etc. and other regional / smaller wholesalers. The split is about 50/50 across account management and driving new business, as there is lots to go after. You’ll have an input into product and format strategy to help unlock further opportunities, so this is also a strategic role that would benefit from a real expert with broad experience across the channel and working with wholesalers and end customers. Given the breadth of opportunities, including in high street, independent retail and foodservice, you’ll be able to use that experience to prioritise and plan around what to go after and where to focus. Key ResponsibilitiesTake full ownership of the customer P&L to achieve revenue and profit targets Identify opportunities to grow and win new business Ownership of price, promotion and pack format channel strategy Management of customer trade spend budget to deliver profitable growth Build collaborative cross functional relationships to align internally on customer plans, e.g. forecasting and supply chain The Person3+ years of wholesale and foodservice national accounts sales experience in branded FMCG businessesA demonstrable track record of winning new business and delivering against sales targets Commercially astute and comfortable with category channel-based selling Strong relationship builder and team player growth Ability to work at pace in a dynamic SME environmentBig plus if you’re passionate about high quality, premium food and cooking
