And if youre driving to our Caerphilly office, our free on-site car park will save you a fortune.Your role as an Assistant Payroll Manager at phs Group:Processing and managing weekly, lunar and monthly payrolls for approx. 3000 employees via iTrentProcessing SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP, ShPP and all other statutory paymentsEnsuring the payroll process is correctly actioned and all employees are paid accurately and on timeWhere necessary, manually calculating pay from gross to net plus other statutory entitlements to assist with queriesProcessingAuto Enrolment Pensioncontributions and assessing employee eligibilityPreparing pension files and uploading to pension providers alongside mail merge of pension documents for employeesManaging the end-to-end HMRC/RTI process ensuring monthly files balance and are submitted on timeImplementation of any new legislation changes to become business as usualManaging the fullyear endprocessEnsuring all payroll policies and procedures are relevant and up to dateResponding to payroll queries within the agreed timescales (SLAs).Processing expenses via Web ExpensesThe ideal candidate for our Assistant Payroll Manager position at phs Group:Previous Experience of large payrolls is essentialMembership of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP)is desirableA strong knowledge and understanding of payroll practices and legislation including Auto Enrolment and Re EnrolmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAn ability to work alone effectively to achieve multiple / challenging deadlinesHigh levels of attention to detailMicrosoft office skills required, together with an understanding of file conversion from Excel CSV, file formatting for iTrent importsAn ability to mail mergeiTrent experience isdesirableA working ethos that ensures privacy and confidentiality is always a focusAbility to deputise for the Payroll Manager in their absence.In return for your commitment and expertise at phs Group:A good salary starting c. £30,000+ depending on experiencePermanent full-time positionNo weekend working great hours Monday to Friday (36.25 hours a week) although occasionally you may be asked to work extra due to deadlinesYoull work in Head Office with excellent opportunities to develop your career hereTraining opportunities to expand your skills.
