Clinical Research NurseLocation: York Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm (on-site)Company: A specialist clinical research organisation operating purpose-built research facilities across the UK. The organisation works in close partnership with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to deliver high-quality clinical trials, supporting the development of new and existing therapies.Role OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Nurse to support the delivery of clinical trials at our York site. The post holder will manage nursing activities across the full lifecycle of clinical studies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering a high-quality experience for study participants.Due to the site location, a full UK driving licence is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all nursing-related activities for clinical trials from study start-up through to close-out, in line with ICH/GCP guidelinesAttend Site Initiation Visits (SIVs) and remain up to date with protocol amendments and study updatesConduct Patient Interest Visits (PIVs), demonstrating thorough knowledge of study protocolsMaintain patient engagement throughout the study to support optimal retentionAccurately collect, verify, and document study data within source notes, CRFs/eCRFs, and associated documentationCreate and maintain a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment for both participants and staffEnsure data queries are addressed promptly and efficientlyRespond appropriately to any medical emergencies involving patients or staffRegularly review and check the emergency trolley to ensure readinessUndertake laboratory-related duties where required by the studyWork at all times in compliance with GDPR requirementsMaintain up-to-date training records and ensure adherence to SOPs, COPs, and regulatory standardsIdeal Candidate ProfileNMC registered nurse with no restrictions on practiceMinimum 2 years post-registration experiencePrevious clinical research experience (desirable but not essential)Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team with minimal supervisionStrong patient-focused approachHighly self-motivated with excellent organisational and time-management skills
