Technical Sales EngineerLocation: UK, Western Europe or Eastern United States (Remote) | Employment: Full-Time  Company Overview: Invela is the first-of-its-kind open finance risk management network that infuses trust and confidence across the ecosystem through standardized accreditation, dynamic risk monitoring and insurance-backed warranty.   The Role:We're seeking a versatile Technical Solutions Engineer to own both the technical sales and implementation journey for our open finance risk management solution. This unique role combines pre-sales technical consultation with hands-on implementation, providing end-to-end technical ownership of customer success with financial services organizations including banks and fintech partners. Key Responsibilities:Pre-Sales Technical Consultation:Lead technical discovery sessions and solution design workshopsCreate and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrationsDesign solution architectures tailored to client needsDevelop proof-of-concept implementationsProvide accurate technical scoping and implementation timelinesSupport RFP/RFI responses with technical contentImplementation and Onboarding:Drive end-to-end technical implementations post-saleCreate and manage detailed project plans and timelinesLead technical workshops and training sessionsCreate technical implementation guides and documentationLead API integration workflows, testing processes, and deploymentsCoordinate between internal technical teams and client stakeholdersManage sandbox testing and production deployment phasesProject and Stakeholder Management:Act as primary technical point of contact throughout customer lifecycleManage technical relationships with partner teamsCoordinate between technical teams, business stakeholders, and complianceProvide regular status updates and progress reportsHandle technical escalations and problem resolutionMonitor project risks and dependencies Background & SkillsTechnical Expertise Requirements:Knowledge of data protection frameworks and security standards relevant to financial services (e.g. ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST) Experience with third-party risk management (TPRM) frameworks or security assessment methodologies Strong understanding of API security, RESTful APIs, and OAuth, including familiarity with cloud-based API deployments Familiarity with open banking standards and regulations (e.g. UK Open Banking, FDX, CFPB 1033) Understanding of financial data structures, banking systems, or payment flowsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field 8+ years combined experience in technical sales, implementation, or technical risk consulting 5+ years experience in financial services, fintech, or cybersecurity — with exposure to banking, open banking, or third-party risk management Background in solution architecture or security assessment frameworks Experience with API platforms, integration technologies, or security tooling — with hands-on development or integration experience Demonstrated success managing complex technical implementations or risk assessment engagements Familiarity with financial services compliance and regulatory requirements Knowledge of project management methodologies Experience with CRM systems and sales methodologiesSoft Skills:Strong customer empathy and passion to drive expected customer outcomesExcellent technical communication and presentation abilitiesStrong project management and organizational capabilitiesProblem-solving and analytical thinking skillsAbility to manage multiple complex projects simultaneouslyExperience leading technical workshops and training sessionsDetail-oriented with strong documentation skillsAbility to work remotely with customers or travel as needed for client meetings Salary & Benefits: Competitive Invela is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse team.
