Quality InspectorPlease double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.Location: Telford Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 per annum Job Type: Contract Contract Length: Initial 3-month contract (with potential extension)Benefits30,000 - 35,000 salary depending on experienceOvertime available, including evenings and weekendsImmediate contract opportunity within a quality-focused engineering environment About the CompanyThis is a well-established engineering business operating to strict quality, health, safety and environmental standards, supplying precision components and materials to customers with demanding quality requirements.The RoleThe Quality Inspector will support the day-to-day processing of incoming parts and materials in line with corporate procedures and health and safety guidelines. Working as part of the QHSE team, the role supports customer satisfaction, quality, delivery and cost objectives, alongside industry-specific targets.Key responsibilities include:Verifying components and quantities against purchase ordersSupporting efficient booking-in processes by liaising with internal departmentsMaintaining accurate record retention and filing in line with corporate guidelinesAssisting with quality and customer audits when requiredMaintaining good housekeeping standards and a high level of 5SParticipating in QHSE events and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activitiesSupporting training requirements to ensure regulatory and legislative complianceWorking across materials management areas including kitting, stocktaking and dispatchBeing flexible to work overtime, evenings and weekends as required About YouTo be suitable for this Quality Inspector role, you will have:Strong experience using hand measuring tools such as verniers and micrometresConfidence measuring to micron tolerancesAbility to read and interpret CAD drawingsHigh attention to detail and a methodical approach to xjdpvnf inspectionGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong organisational and time management skillsAbility to work under pressure and respond positively to changeA reliable, flexible and proactive 'can do' attitudeAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamComputer literacy with Microsoft Word and Excel (training provided if required) QualificationsTime served apprenticeship in Engineering - preferred How to ApplyTo apply for the Quality Inspector position, click Apply Now and upload your CV.
