Youll provide clear, practical guidance on occupational health, safety and welfare, supporting both office and site-based activity across England, Scotland and Ireland.This is a hands-on role for someone who can influence behaviour, strengthen safety culture, and confidently engage with clients, contractors, employees and plant operators.What youll be doingProvide occupational health, safety and welfare advice internally and to clients/contractorsSupport our offices across England, Scotland and Ireland with consistent H&S standardsLead and support site-based audits and inspections, including practical construction-focused reviewsReview and challenge Construction Phase Plans, risk assessments and related documentationApply and advise on CDM 2015 requirements (including Principal Contractor responsibilities)Support incident investigations and root cause analysis, simplifying complex cause/effect issuesChair meetings, produce clear minutes, and deliver professional written reportsPartner with the Business Development team to help promote H&S services to clientsContribute to the continuous improvement of a positive, proactive safety cultureWhat youll needQualifications / professional statusNEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma (or equivalent)IOSH certified member, working towards Chartered membershipISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification with practical, construction-based audit experience3-day First Aid certificationIdeally a recognised wellbeing xjdpvnf certificationExperience / knowledgeStrong working knowledge of UK OH&S legislation and current best practice guidanceExcellent understanding of health, safety and welfare issues in dynamic environmentsProven experience in power generation, process, or renewable energy sectorsTrack record of building and maintaining a positive safety cultureConfident influencing stakeholders at all levels, including clients and contractorsWhy join?Work across high-profile engineering and construction activity in the energy spaceJoin a recognised H&S function where your impact is visible and valued
