Job DescriptionWhile professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.IT ManagerOxford / Hybrid (1 day in office per week/fortnight)Profectus Recruitment is partnering with an Oxford-based organisation to appoint an experienced IT Manager to lead its technology function.This is a strategic leadership role reporting to the CFO, responsible for shaping and delivering a multi-year IT strategy while overseeing secure, reliable and compliant day-to-day IT operations.The RoleYou will own the IT roadmap across infrastructure, security, applications, data and digital tools, ensuring technology supports both current and future organisational needs.Key responsibilities include:Leading the development and execution of the IT strategyOverseeing application selection, systems architecture and technology investmentsManaging and holding accountable the Managed Service Provider and technology vendorsExperience of cyber security principles and data governance ideally specifically with ISO 27001, ISO 27701, Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus.Ensuring strong governance around system adoption, integration and retirementDriving cybersecurity, risk management and compliance (including ISO 27001, ISO 27701, Cyber Essentials and NHS DSP Toolkit)Overseeing infrastructure performance, resilience, patching, backups and business continuityLeading IT projects and supporting organisational changePromoting effective digital collaboration and continuous improvementThis is an oversight and governance-led role rather than a heavily hands-on technical position, but strong technical credibility is essential.About YouYou will have proven experience in an IT Manager or similar role, with both operational and strategic exposure. xjdpvnf You'll bring:Strong knowledge of infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms and SaaS ecosystems - Experience developing IT strategy and multi-year planning - Application and technology evaluation experience - Vendor and MSP management expertise - Budgeting and forecasting responsibility - A solid understanding of cybersecurity and data governance - The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders - A collaborative, organised and improvement-focused approachBenefits for the position;Up to 8% matched pensionTwo annual pay reviewsLife insurance at 4x salaryFlexible working hoursThis is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping technology direction within a forward-thinking organisation, balancing strategy, governance and operational oversight.
