Job DescriptionScroll down to find an indepth overview of this job, and what is expected of candidates Make an application by clicking on the Apply button.Housing Support WorkerClient Group: 16 25 Years mixedContract: Causal ADHOC ShiftsHours: Days 8am - 4pmLocation DurhamRate: 14.24 (Holiday Inclusive)Ashberry Recruitment are currently looking for Casual Housing Support Workers to work in the Durham area on an ongoing basis.The Housing Support Worker will play an integral role in tackling homelessness in the area and will assist in providing an environment where people feel empowered and move forward with confidence, knowledge and support.Duties Include:Providing emotional and practical support to ClientsProviding a safe and supportive environment for the ClientsEmpower and Support Young people to achieve independenceBuild positive and respectful relations with young people, colleagues and external agenciesMaintain a safe and risk free environment for the young people and champion the wellbeing of every client.Ensure communication systems are maintained and up to dateBe aware and work within Agreed organisations policies and proceduresRequirements for the role:Experience of working in supported housing essentialExperience of working with the client group 16 25 xjdpvnf yearsExperience working with the following client groups Domestic Violence and Mental HealthEnhanced DBS CheckMust have a proven track record of providing information, advice and guidance to clientsKnowledge and understanding of basic IT suitable for an office environmentKnowledge of basic housing management tasks, i.e. rent collection, tenancy agreements and arrears management
