They are supported by nurturing staff who provide them with the love and security they need to grow, develop and recover from past experiences. Our home is Ofsted registered.This role promises not only to shape the future of the lives of children and young people but also to be part of an established Childrens Care Organization that is fully committed to meeting these unique needs.Requirements for Deputy ManagerDiploma L3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent)Willingness to complete Diploma L5 L&M in H&SKnowledge of CHR 2015 and the QSAwareness of Equal Opportunities/ADP issuesKnowledge of the Children Act and other relevant legislationTeam-building skillsSupervision skillAbility to manage teams effectively.Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.Understanding the needs of looked-after children including managing challenging behaviour.Excellent organisational skills 12 months relevant supervisory experience24 months experience of working in a residential setting with and managing challenging behaviour.Salary for Deputy Manager : Competitive 40 hours per week annual salary 32 to 35kYou will be required to be flexible in your hours supporting the children the staff and the ManagerDeputy Manager Key Responsibilities:Assist and support the Registered Manager in all aspects of the residential care of the Ofsted registered home, to provide a high quality service which meets the individual needs of the children and young people and to help create and maintain a non-institutionalised, child centred safe community home for extremely vulnerable children .Take on on-call duties outside of working hours in support of the home dealing with situations in line with childrens homes regulations and company proceduresSupport staff on a day to day basis promoting good practice and responding to concerns or first line complaints.Take part in the assessment process of potential new admissions to the home.Oversee record keeping and take part in the regular auditing of the children and young peoples records, responding to any issues requiring further action, including those identified at reviews.Manage and provide supervision for designated support workers and night waking support workerYou will oversee the working rotas.Salary: Competitive -40 hours per week annual salary 30k-35k plus sleepsThe focus of our service delivery is to help and support our clients to develop their independent living skills whilst in transition towards adulthood and being able to manage their own tenancy in the community effectively. xjdpvnf We are obliged to ensure its policies and procedures are aimed at safeguarding the service users.For more information on this Deputy manager role contact Mick Hull Fieldview Care Recruitment Solutions
