Job DescriptionConsidering applying for this job Do not delay, scroll down and make your application as soon as possible to avoid missing out.REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing company.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Execution:Oversee daily/weekly manufacturing operations within a busy steel production siteQuality Control & Compliance:Drive quality control to ensure products meet precise metallurgical specifications, handling material certification and traceability.Process Improvement (Lean Manufacturing):Optimise production processes to improve yield, reduce scrap/rework, and reduce manufacturing costs.Safety & Regulatory Compliance:Implement strict health, safety (HSE), and environmental policies to manage hazards associated with high-temperature processing.Team Leadership:Lead, mentor, and develop production teams (operators/technicians), managing shift patterns and performance.Equipment & Maintenance:Ensure preventative maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment.Material Resource Management:Liaise with procurement to manage inventory of high-value raw materials and consumables.Required Skills and QualificationsTechnical Knowledge:Understanding of steel steel production within a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageousExperience:Proven experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment, particularly in metals or superalloys would be advantageousQuality Standards:Familiarity with industry standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and NADCAP would be advantageousAnalytical & Planning Skills:Strong proficiency in using ERP systems for production planning, along with data analysis to drive efficiency. xjdpvnf Leadership:Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.The role includes pension, private healthcare and a bonus of up to 15%
