This role requires a skilled individual with a deep understanding ofhigh-performance, low-latency applications,who can contribute effectively to a wider development team while demonstrating independence and ownership of key projects.In this role as aC++ Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting high-throughput, low-latency applications. You will collaborate with a wider team to develop new features and maintain existing systems, while optimising performance and troubleshooting issues in a Linux/Unix environment. Additionally, you will apply strong coding practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code.Required Skills:At least 3 years commercial experience withC++ (11/14)Experience tuning and troubleshootinglow latency applicationsExperience withmulti-threaded systemsFamiliarity with TCP/IP, UDP, Web-sockets, and other networking protocolsHands-on experience with debugging and performance analysis toolsExperience with build environmentsDesirable Skills:Commercial experience with databases e.g. PostgreSQLFamiliarity with middleware/messaging solutionsExperience in Python or LUAFamiliarity with CI/CD tools and automated testingExperience with Git version controlEligo Recruitment is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
