Our Relief (Bank) Waking Nights roles are designed to offer genuine flexibility, without compromising on training, support or job satisfaction. What does a Waking Nights Support Worker do ? Nights are about reassurance, safety and quiet support. You'll be a calm and steady presence while people sleep in their own homes. Your role may include: Completing regular wellbeing checks Offering reassurance if someone wakes during the night Supporting with personal care if needed Keeping accurate records Preparing the home for the morning shift For example, you might support someone like Daniel , who enjoys busy days out and needs a reassuring presence overnight so he feels safe and ready for the day ahead. Or someone like Aisha , who occasionally wakes and benefits from a warm drink and a calm chat before settling again. Working nights requires patience, attentiveness and reliability but it can also be peaceful, focused and incredibly rewarding.
