An established specialist contractor within the faade and building envelope sector is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to take overall responsibility for the commercial performance of a portfolio of live projects. The role will oversee commercial teams and processes from pre-construction through to final account, supporting project delivery while ensuring strong governance, cost control and margin protection. About the Company Our client is a specialist faade contractor based in the south of England, delivering design, supply and installation of high-performance faade and cladding systems on a variety of new build and refurbishment schemes working on projects valued up to 10M. With deep sector expertise and an end-to-end approach from early technical development to installation, they have a strong reputation for quality, safety and collaborative delivery with main contractors and consultants alike. Their portfolio includes complex rainscreen and insulated cladding systems, steel framing and external wall insulation, brick slip and architectural metalwork across commercial, residential, education, healthcare and live environments. Commercial Manager Key Responsibilities Overall commercial management of multiple faade and external envelope projects Oversight of project QS teams, ensuring consistent commercial standards and reporting Commercial input at pre-construction and tender stage, including cost planning and risk reviews Review and approval of CVRs, forecasts, valuations and final accounts Margin and cash flow management across the project portfolio Management of subcontract procurement, negotiations and supply chain performance Commercial governance, change control and risk mitigation Senior-level liaison with main contractors, clients and internal stakeholders Supporting business improvement, procedures and commercial best practice Commercial Manager Typical Projects Faade and cladding packages on multi-storey residential and mixed-use developments Rainscreen, SFS, insulated cladding and architectural faade systems Recladding and remediation works on existing and occupied buildings Technically detailed external envelope packages delivered alongside Tier 1 main contractors Commercial Manager About You Proven experience operating at Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial level Background within specialist subcontracting, faades, cladding or external envelope preferred Have experience working with NEC & JCT contracts Strong understanding of commercial controls, risk management and contractual obligations Confident leading teams and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously Able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and delivery teams Organised, commercially astute and delivery focused Whats on Offer Senior role within a respected and growing specialist contractor Exposure to technically complex and high-profile faade projects Long-term opportunity with clear responsibility and influence Competitive salary and benefits package including car allowance.
