Job Description

JDR Recruitment are recruiting a Regional Sales Manager for their client Location: London (Regional coverage) Salary: From 45,000 to 60,000, DOE The Role: Develop, manage and execute the regional sales strategy in line with overall business objectives. Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customers within the food packaging sector, particularly PET and paper-based products. Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and account targeting. Identify and develop relationships with key decision makers. Conduct client visits, present product samples and negotiate commercial agreements. Achieve agreed sales targets and revenue objectives. Develop detailed product knowledge and maintain strong understanding of the UK retail packaging market. Coordinate closely with Finance, Procurement and Warehousing teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and timely payments. Negotiate pricing and commercial terms in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Promote bespoke reports and additional services as part of the company offering. Handle customer enquiries, orders and after-sales support via phone, email and online channels. Respond to customer complaints and provide appropriate after-sales support. Identify opportunities to increase revenue within existing accounts. Research and target new markets, outlets and accounts. Support promotional activities, trade enquiries and marketing initiatives where required. Maintain accurate records of financial and non-financial data and provide reports to Management and Finance. Ensure adherence to company policies and business regulations. Experience / Skills Required: Minimum 5 years' experience in a B2B Sales or Account Management role within the packaging sector. At least 2 years' experience working with PET packaging products would be advantageous. Strong understanding of the UK packaging market and key industry players. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business. Confident negotiating and presenting at senior level. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships from shop floor to boardroom. Self-motivated, resilient and results-driven. Strong organisational and reporting skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/sales support systems. Business degree desirable but not essential.
