Title : Principal Structural Engineer Location : Derby About The Role Lead structural engineering design and review from feasibility and concept through to detailed design and construction Champion technical quality, innovation and best-practice design standards across projects Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, supporting professional growth and chartership Build and maintain strong client relationships and act as the lead technical contact Provide expert structural engineering advice across diverse sectors Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, transportation, geotechnical and environmental specialists Promote and implement BIM workflows and efficiency in structural modelling and documentation About You Essential: Typically 8+ years consultancy experience in UK structural engineering Strong track record of leading complex building and infrastructure-related structural design Proficient with structural analysis and design tools (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer, STAAD, Robot / similar) and CAD/BIM packages (AutoCAD, Revit) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven leadership, project management and client engagement experience Full UK driving licence Desirable: Experience working on large-scale or mixed-use developments Experience within multidisciplinary consultancies Demonstrable experience in delivering structural services for public sector frameworks or repeat-client work About The Company They are an award-winning civil and structural engineering consultancy with over 25?years experience delivering high-quality, technically robust engineering services across the UK.
