Automotive Paint Inspector (EOL) We are seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Paint Inspector to join our team, working at End of Line (EOL) to ensure the highest quality standards for painted parts and panels prior to final release. Job Details Contract role initial 4-week duration Outside IR35 Strong potential for extension following 4-week review MondayFriday schedule: 05:30 14:15 22.00 per hour Overtime available Role Overview The Automotive Paint Inspector will be responsible for End of Line (EOL) inspection of painted automotive parts and panels, ensuring all components meet required quality standards before final approval. You will play a key role in identifying surface defects, preventing quality escapes, and supporting overall production excellence. Key Responsibilities Conduct EOL inspection of painted parts and panels Inspect for defects such as: Dents High spots / low spots Orange peel Scratches in the metal or paint Other surface imperfections Check paint temperatures and ensure correct application Approve or reject components based on final quality standards Document and report defects in accordance with quality procedures Work closely with production teams to support corrective actions and continuous improvement Ensure adherence to health and safety standards in the work area Skills & Experience Previous experience in automotive paint inspection or quality control, ideally within an EOL environment Strong attention to detail and ability to identify surface imperfections Understanding of paint processes and metal finishing Good communication skills and ability to document inspection findings Reliable, punctual, and able to work early shift patterns What We Offer Immediate start contract with strong extension potential Overtime opportunities available Opportunity to work in a hands-on, quality-focused role within the automotive industry G&P is a world-leading quality management services provider, supporting manufacturers in the automotive, defence, aerospace and industrial sectors, and their associated supply chains, to transform quality and efficiency levels.
